Facility:

Timing: You will need to arrive at between 12:00 and 3:00 p.m. the first day. Please arrive early that first day as you need to get situated in your doge room or set up your camp site. Getting to Camp early will also provide you with the opportunity to get yourselves and you dogs settled in before Camp starts.

We will start Camp around 4:00 p.m. with introductions and One-on-One Walk Training.
After dinner we will gather so that you can get to know the other participants; meet Ann & Jamie; discuss when/where to gather for the morning run; answer any questions you might have about Boot Camp and discuss any other information pertinent to this Camp.

We will start early the next morning. Depending on the temps you may need to water by 4:30 a.m.. We will let you know the night before what the plan is for the first run. If it is warm we will run at sunrise.

Weather: We'll be working the dogs no matter what the weather.

Meals: Meals will be provided this year. Your registration fee includes dinner the first night; breakfast, lunch and dinner the next two days and brunch the morning of the last day.

Let us know if you have any dietary restrictions and we will do our best to accommodate you.

BRING FOR YOUR DOGS:

- Rig, 4-wheeler, Sacco cart (or all of it if you have them and want to bring them) NOTE: Your rig must be able to hold your team while you're off the rig, but not so heavy that your team is unable to pull it in neutral or in gear when training. If you train with a 4 wheeler, please email me regarding the kind - geared or automatic.
- Harnesses and collars
- Ganglines
- Necklines (bring extras)
- Water containers (one or more that fit on your rig) and bowls/pans
- Treats (biscuits, etc. if you want, esp. for one-on-one training)
- Booties (if you use them)
- Head lamp (it may be dark outside when we run and/or take care of dog chores, depending on temperatures)
- Dog food
- Poop scooping equipment
- First aid kit and routine medications for your dogs, if you have any
- Extra straw or bedding if needed (we are a long way from town)
- Picket line, tie-outs, outriggers, crates (whatever you use to tie dogs out when you travel and run them)
- We have unlimited training right out of the yard. We will also have on site extra training rigs/4 - - - wheelers/sacco carts IN ADDITION to your equipment.

BRING FOR ONE-ON-ONE TRAINING/PULL TRAINING CLINIC:

- Correction collar(s) (either a prong collar or fine link chain slip or "choke" collar that fits snug over the dog's head -- you'll probably want to bring several to fit your dogs if you have different sized dogs on your team)
- 8 foot leash(es) with snap at BOTH ends (web or leather -- poly rope will burn your hands. You can easily buy a snap at a hardware store and attach it to the handle end of an 8 or 10 foot lead.)
- Belly band (neckline will work)
You can order Leash/Belly Band Sets through Dogbooties.com, Windigo Outfitters or Black Ice . We will have Leash/Belly Bands for sale at Camp. Each team attending Boot Camp for the first time receives one Leash/Belly Band Set.
- Harness(es)
- regular 4 and 6 foot leads or flexis are always useful.

BRING FOR YOURSELF:

- Clothes in layers:
We will work dogs no matter what, so bring rain gear, short sleeves, long sleeves, jackets, sunglasses, hats, etc. Bring sturdy shoes or boots and good soc ks, because you'll be on your feet nearly all day. It's a good idea to bring extra shoes and socks in case you get one pair wet, or bring duck boots. Bring Mud Boots or other calf-high waterproof boots…the marsh is quite wet this time of year, and if you have to get off your rig to correct the dogs….
- Flashlights, head lamps and extra batteries
- Personal toiletries
- Insect repellent - bugs shouldn't be bad this time of year, but you never know  Don't forget sunscreen.
- Camera or camcorder (if you're inclined to take pictures!)
